In 2018, @vga256 launched the Multimedia HyperGuide podcast. For the next 6 years, the podcast was focussed mostly on solo deep-dives of games for Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS. Many of the episodes are multi-parters, with strict attention paid to software history and technical design. These episodes have been folded together into what I think of as "Season 1" of the podcast.
In 2026, the podcast was renamed to CD-ROM Safari and relaunched as a friendly conversational exploration of the multimedia era of roughly 1989-2000. So if you're into friends talking about multimedia software they grew up with in the 90s, this is probably going to be your jam. These ongoing episodes, dubbed as "Season 2", are a balance of Windows 3.1, Macintosh, and Windows 95 applications and games.
